Mr. Lewis approached Atom Fabrications to construct a durable, weather-resistant double garage to house vehicles and provide workshop space. He required a strong structural build with minimal maintenance and a clean industrial aesthetic to match the existing outbuildings on his property.
Planning & Design Consultation: After an initial consultation and site survey, we helped Mr. Lewis finalise a design that included a dual-pitch roof, roller shutter doors, and full-height metal cladding.
Steel Frame Fabrication: All steel sections for the frame were fabricated in-house using galvanised box and I-beams, then delivered to site for assembly. Each piece was cut, drilled, and treated for long-term weather resistance.
On-Site Frame Installation: Our team erected the steel frame with concrete anchor points, aligning it with a reinforced slab foundation that the client had pre-installed.
Cladding & Roofing: Corrugated steel wall panels in dark grey were installed, along with insulated metal roof sheets to help regulate internal temperatures. Flashings, drip edges, and ridge caps were custom-fitted for a weather-tight finish.
Doors & Finishing: Two powder-coated roller shutter doors were fitted to the front, and a side personnel door added for easy access. Guttering and downpipes were also installed to manage drainage effectively.
Result: A strong, maintenance-free double garage with a professional look and long-term functionality—ideal for secure vehicle storage, tools, and hobby use, built to withstand South Wales’ unpredictable weather.
